I was surprised at how much better the pen looks in person & was happy to see that the pen is wider than it looks in the picture. It’s also a little heavier than regular pens. I got the white pearl with clear crystals & the crystals really shine – especially in sunlight. I’d definitely recommend this pen for gift-giving for Xmas & B-days. Since they now come in a velvet pouch, it’s perfect for keeping it in your purse. It won’t get scratched on other objects in your purse. The one I bought was suppose to be a gift, but I decided to keep it for myself & buy more later for gifts. (Shop of Gifts had some available in boxes so I had asked for one in a box so I could wrap it easily. But, I will now ask for the pens in pouches so recipients can keep it in their purse without it getting scratched.)
